Within the following study, we will make an attempt to present certain aspects regarding the interdisciplinary facets of Aurel Stroe’s work, Arcades. The analysis will bare in mind multiple levels of connections between the architecture and the music; the matters that concern the composer’s own aesthetic views, including an architectural approach towards the general structure of the work, as well as the significance of the special configuration of the orchestra and other musical methods used for conveying an architectural element into a sonorous edifice.
