The study hereby aims to draw attention on the importance of teaching the history of music in primary and middle school, which is also part of the aesthetic education offered by the school. Besides naming the main criteria for teaching, the history of music the study presents an excerpt of the teaching material and draws attention upon the importance of active listening to Music.
