After an introductory overview on the debate on rationales for Septuagint translation, this article deals with translation technique
and theological accents of the Septuagint of Psalms. Closeness to the Hebrew Source in syntax is the intention of the translator's work, but he sets theological accents concerning the notion of God and emphasizing Torah orientation. The inscriptions of the Psalms, sometimes later added, cause problems of its own.
