Carbon nanotube-triethanolamine and carbon nanotube-dendrimer structures were obtained from carboxyl functionalized nanotubes (SW-, DW-, MW-COOH). The synthesized compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, scanning transmission electron microscopy coupled with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (STEM-EDX). The toxicity of the obtained derivatized carbon nanostructures was tested on human immortalized keratinocyte cell line (HaCaT). The viability of the cells was determined using the 3-[4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl]-2,5-diphenyl-tetrazolium-bromide (MTT) cell proliferation assay.
