Studia Universitatis Babeş-Bolyai was founded in Cluj in 1955.
Print Edition History:

1958-1961: Studia Universitatum Victor Babeş et Bolyai, series I, Matematica, Fizica, Chimie, ISSN 0578-5413, Tomus 3, nr.1 (1958) - Tomus 6, nr.2 (1961).
1962-1974: Studia Universitatis Babeş-Bolyai series Chemia, ISSN 0039-3401.
1975-now: Studia Universitatis Babeş-Bolyai Chemia, ISSN 1224-7154.

Aims and Scope:

Studia Universitatis Babeş-Bolyai Chemia publishes fundamental studies in all phases of chemistry and chemical engineering. Coverage includes experimental and theoretical reports on quantitative studies of structure and thermodynamics, kinetics, mechanisms of reactions, inorganic, organic, organometallic chemistry, biochemistry, computational chemistry, solid-state phenomena, surface chemistry, chemical technology and environmental chemistry.

The journal has been selected for coverage in Thomson Reuters products / Clarivate Analytics and custom information services beginning V. 53 (1) 2008, indexed and abstracted in:
- Science Citation Index Expanded (also known as SciSearch).
- Chemistry Citation Index.
- Journal Citation Reports/Science Edition.
