Abstract

This paper analyses the process of casting in theatre, by focusing on the actor-director information exchanges. The author starts from the premise that a casting session is, essentially, a theatrical situation with two players who alternate their roles.

DIANA ALDEA is a stage and film director, plastic artist, graduate of the Audio-visual Programmes MA of U.N.A.T.C. "I.L.Caragiale" Bucharest (2008), of the section of Stage Directing at the Faculty of Theatre in the Babeş- Bolyai University, Cluj (2004), as well as of the Painting-Restoration specialisation at the Faculty of Orthodox Theology, Babeş- Bolyai University Cluj (2000). Her activity includes theatre and dance performances, directed in the Romania and abroad, teaching and exhibitions, with numerous paintings in private collections in Romania and abroad.
