Markus liest die Schriften – Jer 7 als intertextueller Schlüssel zur Christologie und zum Schriftverständnis der markinischen Tempelaktion Jesu

The purpose of this paper is to show that the temple complex in the gospel of Mark (Mk 11-12) can be read as a narrative unit that seeks an intertextual dialogue with Jeremiah's temple discourse (Jer 7). At several points Mark has woven reminiscences of Jer 7 into Mk 11-12. Three of the theological statements of the temple complex become a deeper meaning when readers think of Jeremiah's temple speech while reading Mark's narrative.
