SHEAR FLOW OF BOVINE SERUM ALBUMIN SOLUTIONS

In this paper, the flow of bovine serum albumin (BSA) solutions in physiological serum was investigated at different concentrations from 1 to 10 g/dL and temperatures from 4°C to 80°C. Some peculiar behaviours were depicted as a function of thermodynamic and shear conditions. The intermolecular interactions, the electroviscous effects, the shear forces as well as the temperature influence the shear viscosity of BSA solutions.
