Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration. 

The manuscript should not exceed 18 pages.

We publish just one accepted paper of an author per year.

We mention that members, PH.D. students and close collaborators of Babes-Bolyai University have priority in publication. 

Titles should be brief and appropriate for indexing and should specifically describe the content of the paper.

An abbreviated title, which will be used as a running head, must accompany all articles and must consist of no more than 50 characters (including spaces).

An abstract not exceeding 250 words that summarizes the principal techniques and conclusions of the manuscript in relation to known results must accompany each manuscript. Mathematical formulas and bibliographic references should be kept to a minimum; bibliographic references must be written out in full.

Mathematical Subject Classifications (MSC) and Keywords have to accompany the manuscripts.

Figures have to be consecutively numbered and cited in the text. Accepted formats for the figures are: .ps,.eps,.jpg.

All the references should be cited in the text of the paper.

All the references should be written using AMS Journal Abbreviations (http://www.ams.org/msnhtml/serials.pdf).

References should be listed in alphabetical order at the end of the manuscript. The following reference's styles should be used:

  1. The submission file is in PDF document file format, generated by a file initially typed in LaTeX. We provide a LaTeX macro package designed to make author-typeset articles conform to Studia UBB Math style standards. For preparing your manuscript, please use the files Template.zip.
  2. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  3. All illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  4. Complete addresses (including e-mail addresses) are provided for all authors.
  5. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Section default policy

Book Reviews

Book reviews are presentations of original books. They are not peer-reviewed, and do not receive doi numbers. They should not exceed 6 pages (in Studia UBB Mathematica format).

Privacy Statement

The data collected from registered and non-registered users of this journal falls within the scope of the standard functioning of peer-reviewed journals. It includes information that makes communication possible for the editorial process; it is used to informs readers about the authorship and editing of content; it enables collecting aggregated data on readership behaviors, as well as tracking geopolitical and social elements of scholarly communication.

This journal’s editorial team uses this data to guide its work in publishing and improving this journal. Data that will assist in developing this publishing platform may be shared with its developer Public Knowledge Project in an anonymized and aggregated form, with appropriate exceptions such as article metrics. The data will not be sold by this journal or PKP nor will it be used for purposes other than those stated here. The authors published in this journal are responsible for the human subject data that figures in the research reported here.
