Professor Iordan Gh. Bărbulescu’s New Europe covers the latest additions brought to the ever evolving project of the European Union after the successful ratification of the Lisbon Treaty in 2007. One of the main tenets of the book revolves around the fact that this was the rational step towards the establishment and consolidation of a federation comprised of nation-states.
